Rotax 912 / 912iS Service
Most of the LSA fleet flies behind a Rotax, and Rotax engines have their own service culture — metric hardware, specific torque values, and maintenance items that don't exist on legacy engines. Our technicians are Rotax trained and work to the current line maintenance manual.

Maintenance FAQ
Who can legally maintain my light sport aircraft?
S-LSA and E-LSA aircraft may be maintained by an FAA-certificated Light Sport Repairman with a Maintenance rating (LSRM), an A&P mechanic, or an appropriately rated repair station. Our technicians hold the LSRM-A certificate with Rotax training, so all work is performed and documented by FAA-certificated personnel.
How often does a Rotax 912 need service?
Rotax calls for oil and filter changes every 100 hours (every 50 hours if you run leaded fuel such as 100LL), periodic gearbox friction torque checks, carburetor synchronization, coolant and hose inspections, and replacement of rubber parts (hoses, carb sockets, fuel lines) every 5 years. We service to the current Rotax line maintenance manual and applicable service bulletins.
Do you really come to my hangar?
Yes. We are a mobile operation and perform most maintenance at your hangar or tie-down anywhere in Florida. Travel within 25 miles is included; beyond that, mileage applies per our published pricing.
What is the difference between an annual condition inspection and a 100-hour inspection?
Every S-LSA and E-LSA needs a condition inspection every 12 calendar months. If an S-LSA is used for compensation or hire, such as flight training or rental, it also needs a 100-hour inspection. The inspection scope is the same; the difference is when each is required.
Can you keep my aircraft compliant with service bulletins and safety directives?
Yes. For S-LSA, compliance with manufacturer safety directives is required to keep the aircraft airworthy. We track applicable service bulletins, safety alerts, and directives for your airframe and engine and document compliance in your logbooks.
All maintenance is performed within the privileges of the FAA Light Sport Repairman certificate with Maintenance rating, airplane class (LSRM-A), per 14 CFR 65.107 and FAA AC 65-32B. Work outside those privileges — and condition inspections on experimental amateur-built aircraft — is coordinated with an appropriately rated A&P/IA in our network.
