Mobile Airboat Engine Repair in Central Florida
Lycoming & Continental · On-Site Diagnostics · We Come To You
Light Sport Bros troubleshoots and repairs aviation engines that power airboats. Call or request service and we will meet you where the boat lives.
Lycoming & Continental Engines
Many Central Florida airboats use Lycoming or Continental aircraft engines. We apply aviation-engine diagnostics and repair to those powerplants on the boat — ignition, fuel systems, compression checks, and related work.
What we inspect and service
- Magnetos and ignition systems
- Carburetion and fuel-injection related faults
- Fuel delivery and hard-start conditions
- Compression and leak-down testing
- Propeller inspection and repair
- Overhauls and rebuilds when the job calls for it
How we talk about results
On-site evaluation finds what is wrong. We describe the tests we run and the findings we see. We do not promise a specific fix before looking at the engine.

Credentials & Scope
Our technicians hold FAA Light Sport Repairman certificates with a Maintenance rating (LSRM-A) and Rotax training for light sport aircraft. On airboats, that same aviation-engine experience is applied to Lycoming and Continental powerplants. Airboat work is not an aircraft airworthiness endorsement for the boat.
Airboat Engine FAQ
Do you work on Lycoming and Continental airboat engines?
Yes. Most airboats run aviation engines. We diagnose and repair Lycoming and Continental powerplants used in airboats, including ignition, fuel systems, and related components.
Can you troubleshoot an airboat that cranks but will not start?
Yes. We evaluate ignition (including magnetos), fuel delivery, compression, and related systems on site. Diagnostics identify what is wrong; we do not guarantee a single cause before inspection.
Do you travel to where the airboat is kept?
Yes. We provide mobile service across Central Florida. Tell us where the boat lives and what engine you have so we can screen the job and quote travel.
What information should I have ready?
Engine make and model (Lycoming or Continental), symptoms, recent work, and the boat's location. Photos of the engine and any logs help us prepare.
Is airboat work the same as aircraft certification?
No. Our FAA LSRM-A and Rotax credentials apply to light sport aircraft maintenance. Airboat work uses the same aviation-engine expertise on boats; it is not an aircraft airworthiness sign-off for the boat.
